Rio Grande – Museum

Museum Virginia Choquintel

This building dates back to 1920, and it was the former headquarters of the Tierra del Fuego Rural Association. It was reopened as the Municipal Museum on June 1, 1999, named after the last known descendant of both Shelk’nam parents, who passed away the day after the inaugural ceremony. Today, its rooms display the historical evolution of the city of Río Grande. It is located at 555 Juan Bautista Alberdi Street.
