At the entrance of Tolhuin are sculptures made of native wood, inspired by the Selk’nam culture, which represent the memory of the first inhabitants of Tolhuin. At the Civic Square, the Heroes of Malvinas Square, and local artisans on the way to the Khami Museum building, were inaugurated in December 2011. This building used to be the headquarters of the Tolhuin Police Station. It was built in 1922 by the farm owner called “Arroyo”, Mr. Antonio Livacic. A short distance away, the views of ‘Khami Lake’ also known as Fagnano Lake have breathtaking views of the heart of the Island.

Fagnano Lake, also known as Lake Khami, was formed by glacial activity during the last Ice Age. Glaciers sculpted the landscape, creating deep valleys that later filled with water as the glaciers retreated. The lake’s formation is a testament to the powerful force of glaciation, and tectonic plates have shaped the habitat for diverse flora and fauna. Fagnano Lake is one of the largest lakes in Tierra del Fuego, with clear waters, surrounded by forests and mountains, it is part of an unexplored nature.
